Whispers resonate in the night...
Homage paid to the old trite
Giggles occasionally, and stamping feet
Exaggeration in full competition...
Acting out the notorious repetition
Chatter and gossip- the night stood still...
Not even a break for a unified thrill
Blab, whine and scandal...
No end in sight, except daybreak perhaps...
Yeah, oh yes...
Wow, someone said- 'goodnight'!
An engine started, and suddenly there was one less
Then, the goodbyes became contagious
A deafening silence followed
The night was free!
The sounds and songs became alive...
The natural creatures subscribed
Whispers transformed...
The night's welcomely reformed
