Me, let’s just say it’s not one of my favorite books this year. I wrote a book review on The American Roommate Experiment if you want to read it. But even if it’s not a favorite I still enjoyed some of it like these scenes.

1. When Rosie says to Lucas, “Who are you? Dr. Phil?”
“Is he handsome? Is that why I remind you of him?”
2. Lucas in a towel and says to Rosie:
“Enjoying the view?”
3. When Rosie and Lucas are in the vinyl store and Lucas is about to share a personal story…
“My had came to a halt just as I was lifting a record off a crate. My jaw might have dropped to the floor. I stuttered over the words that were not even leaving my mouth. Did that mean…? No. Impossible. It couldn’t be. There was no way. Lucas threw his head back and let out a laugh.”
4. When Lucas says to Rosie, “Whenever you’re done checking me out.”
Rosie: “I wasn’t checking you out.”
Lucas: “It’s okay with me, you know? I love the attention.” He paused. “And it’s good to know that you’re an ass woman.”
Rosie’s thoughts: “I was an ass woman. I really was.”
5. Rosie sits on Lucas’s lap.
“I tried to focus on the amazing food laid out in front of us instead of on the man whose lap I was currently sitting on.”
6. Lucas in a Victorian velvety tailcoat jacket and burgundy vest.
“And my attention was definitely happy to comply.”
7. When Rosie says Lucas has a groovy name.
“Did I just say that his name is groovy? Like a… a… disco ball? Or a seventies themed party?”
8. Lucas’s nose covered in flour.
“It’s not gone, is it?”
“I shook my head and finally let out a laugh.”
9. When Rosie calls Lucas handsome.
“Oh, dammit. That had totally slipped.”
10. When Lucas tells Rosie he doesn’t mind being used by beautiful women.
“My heart did the silliest, stupidest cartwheel.”

I didn’t include spicy scenes because they’re usually not my favorite scenes. I like it when the main characters are being funny and flirty together. Those are the scenes that I enjoy the most.
