Dating Dr Dil Review

Hii you amazing readers, do you ever go to bookstores when you feel overwhelmed in life?

I do and it’s calming. Bookstores have a soothing effect on me. Or maybe because nothing else matters when you have new and gorgeous books in front of you? Haha!

The other day I went to the bookstore to relax my mind and to also buy Love on the Brain and I didn’t expect to see Dating Dr Dil by Nisha Sharma there. Of course I had to buy it even when I told myself a dozen of times that I’m only going to buy one book. My inner bookworm never listens.

I just finished it and now here’s my Dating Dr Dil Review.

What is Dating Dr Dil About?

Kareena is thirty years old, a lawyer, loves wearing sweater vests, believes in love, and a Swifty!

Her widowed father makes the announcement that he is retiring and selling their house. Kareena strikes a bargain with him. If she can find her soulmate (her jeevansathi) by Kareena’s sister’s engagement party, he will give her the money (the money that her parents saved to give her as a wedding gift) and she will use that money to buy the house from him, allowing her to carry on her mother’s heritage.

Prem is thirty five years old, six feet plus tall cardiologist, and also a Swifty! He has his own talk show called Dr. Dil Show.

Prem doesn’t have time for romance. Kareena and Prem’s first encounter went really well and then Prem suddenly left her. Their second encounter didn’t go well when their on-air argument becomes viral. Now that Prem’s standing as an authority on heart health is under jeopardy, his major benefactor to a community center is withdrawing. He must quickly improve his reputation if he wants to win back the favor of his donor, and dating Kareena is his only choice.

Dating Dr Dil Review

This is a fake relationship romance that didn’t push through. This is like a hate to love romance that really isn’t because the hate part is short and quick.

It’s a fun read. A little cheesy, a lot of spicy. It’s jalapeno poppers.

Rate:

How many days did I read this?
Three days.

Narration?
Third person and POV switches between Kareena and Prem.

Did I like author’s writing?
I think Nisha Sharma nailed the spicy scenes.

I didn’t feel the dialogues. I wasn’t 100% convinced that the characters are the ones saying the lines. There’s a difference between what a character would say versus what an author wants the character to say. Am I making sense??

This is just how I feel. You might have a different take on it.

How many spicy chapters are there?
Four, very spicy. Additionally, there are two almost or just a little spicy. I hope I counted correctly.

Will I reread this?
No.

Was this worth my money and time?
The book is fun and entertaining so yes. I like Kareena and Prem’s chemistry. Story-wise, not really.

Do I recommend this book?
Yes, only if you’re into spicy romance. Not the first book or one of the top five romance books I’d recommend.

Dating Dr Dil by Nisha Sharma Quotes

“Girl, sometimes life doesn’t go according to your spreadsheets and timelines.”

“Finding love may take some time.”

“You can only blame your parents for so long before you start making decisions on your own and using them as an excuse.”

“The biggest mistake you can make is trying to interpret someone’s actions in a way that fits your definition for love! If he doesn’t tell you, then he doesn’t love you. That simple!”

“Sometimes the words are hard to say, because you’re so scared that something will happen to the person you care about if you say them. And the longer you go without saying them, the easier it is.”

“Saying what you feel out loud doesn’t stop those feelings. If anything, your love will only grow.”

“And love may be terrible for heart health sometimes, but the absence of it can be just as bad.”

That’s it!

I hope you found my Dating Dr Dil review useful.
