Jessy Ascher and her friends set up camp near Moonlight Rocks in the California desert to watch the Leonid meteor shower. After darkness falls, a stunningly bright meteor suddenly flashes across the sky blinding the friends to the approaching danger.

It was the meteor event of the season and Jessy, Marty, Don, Mary, Bill, and Sally were ready for a fun night of campfires, hotdogs, and games before the meteors really began. It was said that the last person who had found a meteor was paid over 1 million dollars for the rock; so, while this group was interested in the atmospheric anomaly, other bad actors had only money on their mind.
