Review: Dandy And Dazza

Tags: dazza dandy book

Dandy and Dazza is an adorable book about friendship and being different.

Dandy and Dazza are two pooches who couldn’t be less alike. Dandy is a ‘five star food sort of hound’ who likes peace and quiet and sleeping the day away. Dazza, on the other hand, is an ‘old bones kind of mongrel’ who enjoys ruffling through rubbish and running wild. Even though they are polar opposites, the two form a friendship and learn a lot from each other.

Dandy and Dazza is a sweet book about being different and how that is okay. I like the writing and found it to be super funny and easy to read out loud. The illustrations are also spot on and I particularly loved anything to do with the scruffy mongrel Dazza.

I think this book will suit most kids and adults. It’s not too long so is good for bedtime and will work for a range of ages. It also teaches kids an important lesson that its okay to have different qualities and hobbies than your friends, but to always stay true to yourself.

What a little scruffy delight
