Summary

Review
It’s been well over 2 years since I’ve read anything to do with the ACOTAR world. I did debate on a re-read before this book came out but ultimately I decided not to . I had a lot of trepidation about this story and its didn’t have anything to do with Nesta,. it was mainly because of the Fandom. Now I’m not saying this is all fans but that there is a chunk of this fandom that is absolutely rabid and I do mean rabid – I used to be in many facebook fan groups and some of the people on there are just vile and if you dared to disagree with their opinions… well look out. And then there’s the Tamlin sympathisers – people who want this character to have redemption – I just can’t even with this. So all of this has made me fall out of love with the series a little bit.
But this book…. damn! I knew Nesta was going to go on a journey but I was not prepared for the FEELS! I think I cried about 4 or 5 times during the last few chapters alone…. heart stopping and breathtaking all at the same time. I’ve not cried reading so much since Kingdom of Ash. Ultimately Nesta’s story is one of healing, acceptance and finding inner peace.
Aside from the main storyline there is also trouble stirring once agains. The once human Queen Briallyn is trying to find objects of power that were forged by the Cauldron and the Inner Circle are trying to desperately find out why.
It’s really hard to give a good summary of everything that happens in this book without giving way any spoilers so I think I’ll wrap things up here.
