What happens after a breakup?
There are different ways to go. The path you decide depends on various factors. The social diktats, the support structure, and if there is ice-cream in the fridge.
But most importantly, it’s how you deal with inside your head.
And then is there is this – you write it down. No. Not on social media but a whole Book.
This book has that feel. Though the title and the blurb say it’s about self-love, it is actually more about self-pity.
The writer is not able to get over something in her past.
I understand that.
She wants it back.
Now, that I don’t get that...
We shouldn’t search for happiness at the same place we lost it.
The book is good. Esp. her rhyme scheme.
And it is written in the form of prose poems of the by-gone days.
I will love to read the next book of the writer, Maryam Nawaz, and hope to find that she has gotten over her past and moved on.
