Why I hate light women? I hate the way they treat me. I hate the way they talk about my nappy hair. They way the look and laugh at my black skin. They call me tar baby or midnight. They get all the guys and dates. I am often over looked when they are in the room. My mom told me that I would never be as pretty as them, my hair is too nappy and short. I should straighten it but it will never change me skin color. I hate how they make me feel ugly. They laugh and taunt me every time they see me. I thought of taking my life many times. My boyfriend left me for a white girl. The prejudice doesn’t stop with light skinned black girl and dark boys treat me that same, I think aren’t we in this together.
