I always forget how short February is! Even in this short month I managed to read loads! This month I read a total of 5 books, as well as enjoying the few days of sun we had in the UK.

Eliza and her Monsters by Francesca Zappia

This book completely filled my geeky heart!! Introverted, creative and graphic artist who is searching for a place of belonging and a safe person to run to... I relate so, so much. I think this book will stay quite close to me. I really enjoyed Zappia's other book: 'Made You Up', so I was very excited when I found out she had a new book and it did not disappoint!

I read the screenplay to help me get through the wait until the DVD comes out and I can watch the film again (I've already seen it twice). The screenplay allows me to see the scenes so clearly in my head and it's just a nice quick read.
All I Know Now by Carrie Hope Fletcher

I am a massive fan of Carrie Hope Fletcher and I realised that I had never actually read any of her books! I decided to start with her first Book which, unlike her other books which are fictional, is about life lessons she has learnt and advice on growing up. I absolutely loved it. You could so clearly hear her voice in her writing and I really respect her openness and honesty. I wish I had read this when I was a few years younger.

This book was a really interesting concept. What would happen if Hitler won WW2? The protagonist has made it her mission to kill Hitler but to do so, she must go under cover and win a race. Overall, I thought it was a good book. It was slightly slow in places but the action was also exciting.
Les Misèrables graphic novel, original story by Victor Hugo

I love the musical of Les Mis (does it surprise you everything leads back to musicals?) and so thought this could be cool to read. I was sent a copy from NetGalley in return for a review. It was really well told. With graphic novels, lots of the story has to be cut down to fit into the book and I believe they did a really good job of picking the main events and presenting them with beautiful illustrations. I did get confused at times when there were flashbacks in the storyline, but I believe that's more due to my lack of knowledge on graphic novels than the story itself. Overall, I really enjoyed it and sped through it quickly.
Revenger by Alastair Reynolds
I went to a secondhand book fair (which had soooo many books). I walked past this book multiple times and each time it intrigued me so I decided to buy it. It's a sci-fi novel which is one of the genres I don't read as much of, so I am curious about what I'll think of it.

Made the most of the few days of sun
Living in the UK means it is usually rare to get any days of sun, so to have a few beautiful days in February was amazing!! The sun really lifts my spirits and I spent as much time outside as I could. Unfortunately now it has returned to the usual rain, but it was nice while it lasted.
That's everything for February. I am hoping to keep my reading fuel going through March.
