My Harry Potter Collection!!!!

So if you know me at all you know that I am completely in on the Harry Potter craze and have built up quite a collection of merchandise. In fact, I didn't realize the full extent of my obsession  until I started taking photos of everything! I have tried to split this into categories and will only give a brief description of each thing as it is going to be pretty long as it is. If you want to know where I got any of these magical items let me know and I will try my best to locate them for you!

Books

To start I'll go with the obvious....the books themselves!

I have the complete collection of the original UK covers all in paperback. Most of these I found secondhand in charity shops which is unusual for me to get books that aren't in perfect condition. I also have the last two books of these editions in hardback.

The multiples I own are the special edition Philosopher's Stone, the adult edition of the Deathly Hallows and the illustrated editions of the Philosopher's Stone and Chamber of Secrets.

In addition to the original Harry Potter series I have copies of the Fantastic Beasts screenplay, The Tales of Beedle the Bard and the Cursed Child.

Films

I own DVDs of all the Harry Potter films except from the Philosopher's Stone and Fantastic Beasts.

Wands

I own Luna Lovegood's and Harry Potter's wand. I got Harry's as I thought that it was just the generic wand to collect and I got given Luna's wand at Christmas as she is my favourite character!

Clothes

I own both the Ravenclaw and Gryffindor scarves. They are not the official ones but I can still show off my house pride. I am aiming to collect all four houses.
I guess this is kind of an item of clothing as it is the sorting hat. It looks so big on my small head but I still love wearing it though I still haven't built up the courage to wear it out in public yet..........

Next I own three pairs of Harry Potter socks- Hogwarts crest, 'HP' with the snitch and 'Property of Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry'.

I also have a pair of amazing shoes which is just the definition of obsessed!

I own two Harry Potter T-shirts.
One that has 'Hogwarts express, platform 9 3/4' on it and the other that has a quote from Dobby saying 'Such a beautiful place to be with friends'.
You have probably seen me wearing these multiple times.

Finally for clothes I have two sets of pyjamas.
One that says 'Waiting for my letter from Hogwarts' (though I obviously already have one) and the other saying 'don't let the muggles get you down' (much needed).

Jewelry

Next I own quite a few necklaces and a badge.

Top left- Rowena Ravenclaw's Diadem necklace (still need to get round to fixing the tail)
Top centre- fandom necklace including: Percy Jackson, The Hunger Games, Divergent, The Mortal Instruments and of course Harry Potter
Top right- Hermione's time turner (my second one as I managed to stack a pile of books on the first and it broke...whoops!)
Middle right- Sorting Hat necklace (the chain is somewhere but quite often my Luna wears it)
Bottom right- Hogwarts badge, a souvenir from my friend when she went to the Harry Potter Studios

Funko POP figures

I own the Ron and Luna figures.

I love how detailed they are. Ron has his broken wand with sellotape round it and the Gryffindor house crest and Luna has her radish earrings!!!!!!!

Room decor

On my wall I have the 2017 Harry Potter calendar. Each page has a different character. Out of all the amazing characters they could have include (*cough Luna*) they include Slughorn!?

I also have my Diagon Alley road sign which you have probably seen many times. If not, yes I have a road sign in my room. I could have picked one that said Hogwarts but I wanted a more obscure one that only true Harry Potter fans will understand (not that anyone ever goes in my room).

Next I have a wooden box which is adorable and holds all sorts of random things for me and looks super awesome!

Random items

These items didn't exactly fit into particular categories so I just shoved them all together as one.

First I have a chocolate frog wrapper. It wasn't an official chocolate frog but it still tasted good and I like the wrapper.
Next I have my stuffed toy of Buckbeak. Buckbeak is so magnificent and beautiful and my favourite creature throughout the books. Buckbeak has the job of guarding my bookshelves and does it very well (though he gets scared of my younger sister- so do I)

Next I have my Fantastic Beasts bookmark and my Butterbeer cup which I adore.
I have Harry Potter themed Trivial Pursuit which I played with my family and absolutely smashed them (no advantage there at all....).
I then have my Ravenclaw notebook which I haven't written in yet as I don't want to ruin it!

Some odds bits I have stuck around my room are my Fantastic Beasts poster with exclusive film-making techniques they used, my Madam Pince and Hagrid holographic cards which I got in my chocolate frogs and a photo of Hogwarts so I can always go home!

Finally for my random items I have my Marauders map phone case which I am suprised is still in one piece as it has been down the stairs multiple times and I let my little brother play with my phone....probably not the best idea.

I also have my Hogwarts crest mug which is the perfect size for a good mug of tea!

My own creations
(Nearly there, I promise!!)

I come up with the randomest of ideas, usually in the middle of the night and then feel a desperate need to create them. These are some of my more successful ideas.

First I have my laptop (no I did not build it, just simply decorated it). It also have the angelic rune from The Mortal Instruments.

Next I just have a basic Ravenclaw house crest that I drew and a snitch with the quote 'I open at the close'. (Yes I did draw it on a book page but it wasn't me that ripped it out).

I then have my snitch that I made it is simple but effective and looks cool hanging from my ceiling from invisible string! (My family often walk into it but I being short do not have this issue).

On my mirror I have a 'Have you seen this wizard' poster which I ripped around the edge to look more effective and cut out the centre so you can see yourself.

Next I have a 'Save Dobby' sign with one of my little brother's socks which looks adorable though he likes trying to pull it off now he can walk and can reach it!

Next to that I have my origami howler which I am super proud of. I will leave the tutorial I used -here

On my light switch I have some simple 'Lumos' and 'Nox'. (You have to cast the spell out loud every time you press it- or at least I do).

Next I had an old house key so I stuck some wings it and attached it to some invisible string- magic!

Finally I have a floating candle I made but haven't hung it up yet. I simply got the inside of a toilet roll and dripped hot glue down it. Once it had dried I painted it and stuck a LED light in it. I will eventually get round to hanging it up with invisible string.

That is it! Wow. I will be very suprised if you made it to the end. If you did let me know.
So that is my Harry Potter collection so far- I think that it is fair to say that I am slightly obsessed and I know that overtime it is going to continue to grow....

Also can we take a minute to appreciate how much hard work this took to put together. Firstly, I had to find everything and take all of it out and take photos of it (I will likely find something else once I post this), then I had to arrange all of it onto a blog post. If anyone else uses Blogger then I am sure you know just how painful it is to get photos to go exactly where you want them to go. Gah!

Thanks for reading. Is your collection as big as mine? If so, I dare you to do this yourself and link it down below.
