April wrap-up and book haul!

Finally spring is upon us! Although, I can't believe it's the end of April already! That's scary, especially as I had my first exam yesterday (it was only art nothing too mind blowing). I didn't get much reading done as my life basically just consists of revision, revision, revision currently.

Wrap-up

The first book I read in April was A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas. Yes, after much recommendation from Chloe I got round to reading it and I did actually enjoy it. I read it while I was away in Cornwall and was in the perfect mood for it. I have started ACOMAF but as I am back at school again now I think I might just save it and restart it after my exams so I can enjoy as much as I can, plus ACOWAR will be out by then!

Next I reread Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. This is a required read for school but I do actually enjoy the book and I find that I understand it much better a second time round. This is also our book of the month as we are good students...or just know that this will force us to actually reread it......

Book haul
I didn't go crazy and buy a lot of books this month, be proud of me! I only actually spent £1 in total!

The first book I got this month was Dramarama by E.Lockhart. I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway back in February and it took FOREVER to come but it is finally here and beautiful! I have read E.Lockhart's 'We Were Liars' and I absolutely loved it- it made my top ten books of 2016 so hopefully this one will be just as good!

Next I got sent Revenants by Scott Kauffman to review. Scott was so nice when he contacted me asking me to review and even signed and personalised it to me! I am looking forward to getting around to reading it for him. Also, this may sound incredibly stupid but I was fascinated by the postage on the parcel as he lives in America and I live in the UK and it was so cool to see all of the different stamps and airmail signs.

Finally, I got Zeroes by Scott Westerfeld. I have never actually intended on buying this book but I walked past a collection of second-hand books for £1 and it was there so I just picked it up. Yep, no self-control there!

That's it for my April wrap-up. Let me know what you read in April and if you have any tips for managing to get reading done whilst revising for exams because I am definitely struggling!
