Recreating book covers!!

So, we decided to take on the challenge of recreating popular book covers. It was awkward for both me and Chloe (Forever Fictional) but it was also funny. Some of these covers I actually prefer more than the originals!

We started off with basic objects as we are awkward human beings around a camera. We did look pretty weird in my front garden trying to find a daisy but it had to be perfect! Personally I prefer this cover to the original- though I still don't like the story itself!

This one was pretty easy to do as all we had to do was hold an apple- though we had to use Chloe's hands as I do not like my hands....yes, I am a weird person. These are basically the same so I can't pick a favourite.

Notice how sad and geeky we are... the dominoes match up to the position of the dominoes on the cover! Had to mention that..... I like how this one turned out though I couldn't find any very good fonts to use for the title. I probably prefer the original cover though I still have no idea how it relates to the book.

So, I know my hair is long but I think I still have some growing to do, I liked how this turned out but the original is way more magical.

Next we got a bit braver and started actually having people on the cover. I know Chloe isn't a massive fan of this one but I don't think there is anything wrong with this. I do believe that the aesthetics of the original is much better though.

It is kind of sad that I actually own a cloak and my sister has a wooden sword..... I am pleased with this one but I in no way look as awesome as Celeana .

This cover was very hard to recreate without either of us laughing. I don't know why but we both kept giggling. I prefer the original as I love the black cover and effects but with what we have I feel like it is a pretty good recreation.

This cover was kind of out of my comfort zone a bit as I had to wear a dress but it turned out better than I expected it to. I don't think it is anywhere near the original but hey, we worked with what we had.

Firstly, I do not know what happened. I kind of started doodling on it and it went from there.... the original is waaaay better as it is one of my favourite covers but Chloe's eye is beautiful.

As this is the other one of my favourite ever covers it was hard to reproduce to a decent standard but I don't think we did awful. We used my staircase to look like the bridges in the background and it kind of worked.

Last but not least my personal favourite. This was so funny though we had multiple shots. Luckily is was pretty windy outside (it's England, of course it is windy) and I think it turned out really cool.

What do you think of the covers? Do you reckon the publishers should replace the books with any of them?
