June Book Haul

Tags: book

June was quite a lucky month for me as someone was giving away books that they didn't want. I haven't included all of the books I received, only the ones I am certain that I am adding to my beautiful family.
I have also tried to be a bit more creative in how I present the books so let me know of your thoughts on whether I should continue like this.

Brother Grimm by Craig Russell

This looks really intriguing as I love the dark and twisted side of the Grimm's fairytales and I am definitely in the mood for something eery right now.
This one is a definite keep from the selection I was given.

The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon

I am not actually sure what this book is about, I just know that I have only heard good things about it from people who I trust their opinion.
It also has a beautiful cover and I just want to show it off to everyone so this is another definite keep.

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

Is no one else concerned that it is written by a Morgenstern.......
I am actually currently borrowing this book from someone and was feeling really bad about not getting round to read it so I can return it. Now I have my own edition and though it needed some love I am happy to own it.
This is my last definite keep. Any others I decide on keeping I will link down below.

The Casual Vacancy by J.K.Rowling

I found this book in a secondhand bookshop and just decided that I needed to own it as it was cheap and is written by my queen so must be good though I have no idea what it is about.

Daylighters by Rachel Caine

Yes, I have read this book and yes it is book 15 and I only have up to book 5 but it was cheap and I am slowly building up my collection. This is such an amazing series with absolutely beautiful characters -(Shane). Also Rachel Caine is a lovely person and i still can't believe that I was fortunate enough to meet her!

The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins

I left this book until last as it is very special to me as it is a leaver's gift from our tutor/English teacher. I am really going to miss her and she never missed a chance to fangirl with us over books. She wrote a beautiful message inside and I am really going to treasure this book.

That's it for June's book haul.
Also what do you think of the photos? Shall I go back to just displaying the covers or continue with photos? If so, which was your favourite?
