October Wrap-up + haul

During October I read 5 books and bought 5 books so my TBR shelf remains as it was at the beginning of the month.

Books I got:

Landline by Rainbow Rowell and The Circle by Dave Eggers

Firstly I got these two books at a charity shop as I was having a major desire to read another Rainbow Rowell Book and it was just there calling to me. Even though The Circle is secondhand
it is in perfect condition and looks brand new- bonus!

PS remind me to be more specific when searching for images of books in the future....

Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell, Ash and Quill by Rachel Caine and Frost Blood by Elly Blake

As I mentioned I was really into Rainbow Rowell this month.....
I finally have my hands on the final book in the great library series! I hope it's a good end!
What can I say, this book is stunning!

Books I read:

A Spot of Bother by Mark Haddon

I didn't actually finish this book as it was so BORING. Yes, things were happening but no one seemed to be doing anything to fix it. It was kind of just like "oh my life is a mess I am just going to sit around like nothing is happening". I ended up giving it 1 star.
I did like Mark Haddon's other book 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time' but this book was nothing like it and read like a different style of writing all together.

Five on a Treasure Island by Enid Blyton

This was definitely a nostalgic reread for me as this series played a very significant part in my childhood and I still reference it often with my family.
I felt like while I was facing a large amount of new things in my life currently I needed something that I knew well to fall back on and this did the job perfectly.
This was 5 stars from me as well as a nice bottle of ginger beer!

Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell

Finally I fulfilled my cravings and this book was definitely worth it.
It was such a nice read and I flew through it.
I know this is one of her most popular books and I can see why. It is good to read if you want something light-hearted and sweet.
I gave this 4 stars.

Undone by Cat Clarke

I listened to the audiobook of this book and I just fell in love with it.
I didn't have any idea what this book was about before reading it and I ended up loving it.
I felt like it was very different to other books and that ending though..
I gave this book a well-deserved 5/5 stars.

School of Deaths by Christopher Mannino

I enjoyed this book way more than I expected. Obviously I wasn't going into it expecting to hate it but I just didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did.
This book is literally Hogwarts for grim reapers!
I haven't heard anyone else who has read it and I think it deserves way more publicity than it currently has.
I gave it 4.5 stars and am aiming to pick up the sequel very soon.

That's it for October. I didn't exactly read any spooky reads for Halloween unless you count School of Deaths?
Let me know if you read anything spooky for Halloween.
