Using Clickfunnels To Create a Lead Generation Website

Getting potential buyers to visit your digital assets is a challenge. And when you do, you’d like to maximize the opportunity by ensuring that there’s an automatic process in place for easily converting these visitors into leads, and subsequently into buyers. How to easily put that process in place is what I’ll be sharing with you in this article.

Let’s dive right in…

What is ClickFunnels?

It’s a “software as a service” that allows you to easily build a website, landing pages, order forms, sales pages…and also communicate with visitors, leads, and buyers, online in an automated manner. What would have cost you a fortune to get a software development team to build for you is what Clickfunnels provide in a user-friendly, integrated, and affordable manner.

Why do you need it?

You can use it to build your website (without any coding skills). You can also use it to generate landing pages, order forms, and a mailing list so that you can build and nurture a relationship with readers who come to your website and landing pages. It would help improve your reach as an author and also help you generate more revenue.

Step by step process to create a Website using ClickFunnels

The first step would be to sign up for ClickFunnels. They have a 14-day trial, so you can test the waters before you commit fully. You’d also need a domain name and hosting, which you can buy from Bluehost, Godaddy, or Namecheap (actually there are tons of other places you could buy from).

The second step is to log into your ClickFunnels account and load the Funnel. Then add your domain name. From the Settings option, click on Domain, add your domain, and click on Save.

If you don’t have a domain, yet. Click on your photo in the upper-right hand corner and you’ll be guided on how to get a free domain.

The third step is to create your pages. You click on pages in the left column, a gear icon appears, that’s the setting. From the setting, you can name your pages, as you’d like, such as “Home,” ‘“About the author”, “Latest Books”…after choosing the names, click on Update.

Simply continue the process until you’ve created all the pages you need. The end-product is an ultra-modern website (a SPA, a single page application) that displays all the pages in one long scrollable page. It’s a design most websites have adopted. So when you click on something, it simply takes you to the relevant part of that single page, instead of loading a fresh page.

But, if you prefer the traditional display, where one clicks on pages after pages, simply click the Add New Step option, after creating each new individual page, and the end result will be the traditional display.

The next step is to add a navigation menu. Starting from your Home page. Click on add new element or the + sign. You’ll see it, it has an icon depicting a link. Then add a paragraph, at the top of the page. List up to five pages, using pipes (|) to separate each name, like so: Home| About the author| Contact| ….Then click on settings on your right. It’s the gear icon, to add text for each link, to choose their colors, and to connect the links. It’s pretty straightforward.

The final step would be to add the menu to all the pages. Click on Sections, then Add sections. And on each page, click the drop-down menu and choose the relevant menu header for each page.

That’s it, you’ve got yourself a website!

Step by step process to collect Leads using ClickFunnels

  1. Set up your Lead Magnet. Since you’d be using your sales funnel to sell books, the first step is to ensure that you have sample chapters of your books prominently displayed on your ClickFunnel website that we created in the section above. If the samples are interesting, most people have a need for closure, they’d want to know where each chapter ends, and they’d subscribe.
  2. Prepare Squeeze Page Copy. You’ll also need copywriting and any other persuasive writing that’ll show the different benefits readers who subscribe and also visit your ClickFunnel website will be getting. You’ll also need to write blurbs, synopsis, and short sales pages for each of your books, you intend to sell.
  3. Start Traffic Generation. To get prospective readers and buyers to visit your ClickFunnel. This could be a mix of paid and free strategies. Guest blogging on sites where your prospective readers frequent, social media, and Facebook ads are effective ways to drive traffic to your funnel.

To achieve those three steps. Simply select the funnel you wish to use, click on add new element, give the step a relevant title. Let’s say “Opt-in for new Novel.” Then, click “create funnel step.” From the menu, choose Opt-in, and then choose an Opt-in template that you like.

Scheduling Newsletters

You’ll need to devise ways of regularly crafting captivating content that subscribers to your newsletter and email sequences would be eager to read each time. They shouldn’t be “salesy.” If they are, you could have folks unsubscribing. It’s nice to have a fixed schedule, maybe once or twice a week, and at regular intervals.

Asking mailing list subscribers to buy your books

At a point, in the newsletter/email sequence, that’s after they’ve received a few emails, it’s okay to ask for the sale. Let them know how captivating your novel is if it’s fiction or the actionable benefits they’d get if it’s non-fiction.

What else can you do with ClickFunnels?

You’re actually only limited by your imagination. After all, ClickFunnels offers a way to reach a lot of people in an automated fashion and to make more money. You could decide to create courses based on your books, you could start hosting monthly webinars, you could start a mentoring program for other writers…ClickFunnels will take care of the heavy lifting for you.

Membership model and subscribers

Through your mailing list, you could “upsell” your subscribers to take advantage of a special, discounted membership program that you’ve created. It could be a weekly, actionable, deep-dive into one of your books.

Conclusion

In this article, we looked at how you can use ClickFunnels to help you sell more books. It helps you automate a huge chunk of the process. There are a lot of proven, easy-to-use templates that you can leverage. The templates make using it a breeze.  It’s an amazing software that’s helped folks generate over $9 billion.
