Cat Coronavirus Diary – Day 11

Cat Coronavirus Diary – Day 11

Hello Humans:

I hope that you’re all coping with being inside for longer than normal and having to spend time with people you wouldn’t normally spend time with i.e. your family. Are you finding things out about them? Do you still like them? I hope so.

My understanding is that humans are motivated by having things to look Forward to such as holidays, going to football matches, and getting drunk at the pub at the weekend. Now none of these things are available, so what do people look forward to?

Well, take a few tips from me and embrace the things you normally take for granted. Look forward to having a long sleep in a warm bed and don’t worry too much about what time you wake up. Enjoy yawning at inappropriate times like I do, stare out of the window at people who aren’t keeping an acceptable distance apart when walking down the street, watch the birds at their feeder and see how much they squabble – even more than cats and humans! Try and find the warmest spot in each room and don’t rely on your cat to find it for you.

You can also improve your brain power by doing simple sums in your head without using a calculator. That’s what I do when I run out of claws and whiskers to Count on. I count the number of kibbles being poured into my bowl and then count each one as I eat it. Actually I find it easier to count ten at at time because I eat them ten at a time. It’s easier to count this way and it’s not because I am greedy like the female human keeps saying. That’s not nice, I am learning to count I will have you know, to increase my brainpower.

Miaowwwwwwwwww for now
