I just cannot write in complete silence. So there is always something turned on to make a background noise. After a while I have found that Music is not such a good choice, since it takes your mind off the things that you are Writing, and makes you go and search for another song, and another and before you know it you are in fact surfing and listening to the music instead of writing.

A year ago I have found just the perfect type of Soundtrack for working; it helps you concentrate on the job, and keep you focused, yet it somehow pleases your need for a sound stimulation. You can search on youtube for yourself, it is usually something called “8 hours of heavy rain” or “Rain on a tent”.
