I was #15.
The last one to choose a Gift at my in-law Family Christmas gathering.
Each person brings a non-gender gift with no name tag and puts the gift under the tree.
As I watched the person before me pick their gift, I realized the last gift under the tree…
Was the very gift I’d brought.
At first, I didn’t know if I should feel sad about this.
And I could have taken a gift from one of the other 14 that were already opened by everyone else.
But then I realized with delight how much I enjoyed picking out the gift I’d brought.
And so, I opened the very gift I brought!
And I couldn’t have been happier…
As it was filled with bird seed, a bird seed block and seed bell, plus a feeder.
And it became the gift that will keep on giving as my bird friends enjoy the treats and in turn this will bring me hours of pleasure!
