The head of Marvel has confirmed that production on Spider-Man 4 will begin soon.

Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, has stated that production on a fourth Spider-Man movie is currently under way.

It should come as no surprise that the Marvel Cinematic Universe would like to spin another web of thrills and spills, considering that No Way Home was such a financial and critical success.

It is currently unknown in which phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) we may anticipate our friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man to swing into action.

Although Feige was not at liberty to discuss the project in a particularly in-depth manner, he did reveal some information.

During a lengthy interview with Entertainment Weekly, he discussed a variety of topics, and at one point he stated, "All I will say is that we have the story."

"Our writers are only putting pen to paper now, but we have some really huge ideas for that," the speaker said.

Given that Tom Holland, who has portrayed Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the most recent three independent films as well as in the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe, stated that No Way Home was supposed to be the final installment in the trilogy, the recent turn of events is quite intriguing.

During an interview that took place in 2021 with Entertainment Weekly, Holland stated that spectators should be prepared for the show's cancellation.

"We were all treating [No Way Home] as the end of a franchise, let's say," Holland stated. "No Way Home" was the final installment in the series.

"I believe that if we were fortunate enough to dive into these characters once more, you would be witnessing a totally different version of them this time around.

"No longer would it be considered part of the Homecoming trilogy.

"We would give it some time and then attempt to construct something unique while also attempting to alter the movie' tonal qualities.

"I am unable to say whether or not that will take place.

"But we were obviously approaching [No Way Home] as if it were nearing its conclusion, and it seemed like it did as well.

After the events of "No Way Home," Peter Parker found himself in an unusual and unfamiliar setting.

He pleaded with Doctor Strange, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, to cast a spell that would make everyone forget he had ever lived and ensure that his loved ones, MJ and Ned, would not recognise him when he encountered them again.

Additionally, we have the Spider-Man personas played by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield to contend with in this movie.

To say the least, if there were to be a fourth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there would be a significant amount of information to explore and explain.

Maguire hasn't ruled out the possibility of coming back for another run as the renowned web slinger just yet.

He expressed his enthusiasm to Marvel by saying, "I love these flicks, and I love all of the different series."

"If these men were to phone me and ask, 'Would you come up tonight to hang out and prank each other?' I would definitely say yes." or "Would you show up to do this movie? Or would you be willing to read a scene? Or would you be willing to do a Spider-Man thing?" It would be a "yes!" in such case.

"Because there's no logical reason for me not to want to do it!"
