World's first Vedic clock in Ujjain Madhya Pradesh

Education minister of India Mohan Yadav, laid the foundation stone for the world's first Vedic clock at the 300-year-old Jiwaji Observatory in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. In 1719, Maharaja Sawai Raja Jaisingh of Jaipur built the Jiwaji observatory. The clock, which is expected to cost Rs 1.62 crore, is intended to familiarise people with Vedic time computation.



What is Vedic clock

This clock will be set in accordance with Vedic time computation standards. Changes in the sunrise and sunset times at various locations throughout the country and the world will also be synchronised. 

The Vedic Clock will be used for Vikram Panchang, Vikram Samvat month, planetary position, yoga, Bhadra position, moon position, celebration, propitious time, group of stars, birth commemoration, quick, celebration, Choghadiya, sun oriented overshadow, lunar obscuration, significant events, divine planets, celestial bodies, and comets, and so on.

Residents will want to access the Vedic clock via their cell phones, PCs, televisions, and other electronic devices. The foundation of the vedic clock will include Jyotirlingas, Navagrah, and so on.

How Vedic clock works?

This clock, in the spot of 1 to 12, separately - Brahma, Ashwinu, Triguna, Chaturveda, Panchapranaah, Shadrasaah, Saptarsayah, Ashtasiddhayah, Navadravyani, Dashadishah, Rudraah and Adityaah are composed. Out of these, 12 Adityas, 11 Rudras, 8 Vasus and 2 Ashwini Kumars are considered as a real part of the popular 33 koti of god's (divinities) of Sanatan Dharma. The clock works on these 12 spots.

Place of Vedic clock to be installed

The world's first Vedic clock will be installed in Ujjain, the city of Mahakal. Emperor Vikramaditya Shodh Peeth will put a Vedic clock at the Tower Square on Chaitra Pratipada day i.e. on 2nd April. The special thing is that in this Vedic clock, the 24 hours of the Green Witch time zone are divided into 30 Muhurtas (Ghatis). The general public will be able to install this watch on mobile and TV as well. For this Vikramaditya Vedic Clock mobile app will be launched. Its main purpose is to make people familiar with the Indian time calculation.
