James Wooten Identified in in Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Texarkana
TEXARKANA, TX (May 24, 2024) – Officials identified motorcyclist James Wooten who died in a hit-and-run on Highway 67 on May 4.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened at Kelly Road. Based on a report, Wooten was riding a motorcycle on the highway at the time of the crash.
Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle driven by Miguel Juarez-Rodriguez struck him. Juarez-Rodriguez fled the scene after the incident.
As a result, Wooten suffered grave injuries and died in the crash.
As of now, police are still working to locate Juarez-Rodriguez. The Texas Highway Patrol is asking anyone with information on the suspect to call 903-255-5701 or Texarkana Area Crime Stoppers at 903-793-STOP (7867). Crime Stoppers will pay a reward of up to $2,000 for information that leads to the suspect’s arrest.
