Pedestrian, Driver Involved in Fatal Accident on Charleston Boulevard in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NV (May 16, 2024) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that a man died in a pedestrian accident on Charleston Boulevard on May 5.
According to the Nevada State Police, the collision happened just east of Decatur Boulevard shortly before 10:00 AM. Based on a report, the man was crossing in a crosswalk against a walk signal at the time of the incident.
At that point, a 2018 BMW 328i traveling eastbound on West Charleston Boulevard in the leftmost travel lane hit him.
As a result, the pedestrian suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. Officials did not yet release his name, pending kin notification.
The 81-year-old male driver from North Las Vegas remained on the scene and did not show any signs of impairment.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
