Mikeal Fierro Identified in Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Amarillo
AMARILLO, TX (May 13, 2024) – The Amarillo Police Department identified 19-year-old Mikeal Donovan Fierro who died in a motorcycle accident on Soncy Road on May 2.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened at Bent Tree Drive around 9:30 PM. Based on a report, Fierro was driving a 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle northbound on Soncy Road at a high rate of speed before the crash.
At the same time, a GMC SUV was turning eastbound into the south alley of Bent Tree Drive. Due to unknown reasons, Fierro hit the SUV.
As a result, Fierro suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
APD said speed was a factor in this crash.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
