Larry Jones Fatally Struck in Orange Pedestrian Accident on 10 Freeway
ORANGE, TX (May 13, 2024) — A 53-year-old Louisiana man, Larry Baxter Jones, died in a pedestrian accident on Thursday, April 25.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal crash happened on the 10 Freeway near Martin Luther King Jr. Drive exit at around 10:55 p.m.
Texas DPS says that a 2017 Toyota Camry that was traveling east struck Jones when he walked into the roadway.
A Justice of the Peace then pronounced Jones dead on the scene.
The driver of the Toyota was not hurt. Authorities identified him as 30-year-old Cameron Williams, of Harlingen.
Reports said there were no filed charges in this case.
