Donald Brown Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Accident on Highway 62 in El Paso

 
EL PASO, TX (May 1, 2024) — A 46-year-old Phoenix resident, Donald Samuel Brown, died in a pedestrian accident on Wednesday, April 17.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident happened on Highway 62 near Farm-to-Market Road 1473 in Hudspeth County at around 4:30 a.m.
 
According to the initial investigation, a man walked along the roadway at Highway 62 and Farm-to-Market Road 1473.
 
A witness reported the pedestrian to the officers. Later, the same witness traveled in the opposite direction. He said he noticed an unusual pile of clothing material in the same area where he saw the pedestrian earlier.
 
The witness then stopped to check the pile of clothes. However, he then discovered a dead person on the side of the roadway.
 
The investigation determined a semi-truck hit the man.
 
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
