Fatal Car Crash on North Argonne Road in Spokane

 
SPOKANE, WA (April 26, 2024) – The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a woman died in a crash on North Argonne Road on April 12.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at East Bigelow Gulch Road around 4:55 PM. Based on a report, the victim was driving a compact car southbound on North Argonne Road at the time of the crash.
 
At the same time, a man was driving a Dodge Ram pickup truck northbound on the same road. As the vehicles approached each other’s location, the victim crossed over the double yellow center line in a curve and struck the Dodge head-on.
 
As a result, the woman suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. Officials did not yet release her name, pending kin notification.
 
Crews took the other driver to a local hospital with severe but non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Deputies say there were no indications of impairment. However, speed and inattention are possible contributing factors in this deadly collision.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
