Paul Espinoza, Artoosh Amirjanian Identified in Fatal Semi-Truck Accident in Oldham County

 
OLDHAM COUNTY, TX (April 26, 2024) – Officials identified 38-year-old Paul Espinoza of Phoenix and 61-year-old Artoosh Amirjanian of Glendale, California who died in a fiery accident on 40 Freeway on April 13.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened between Vega and Adrian. Based on a report, Espinoza was driving a Freightliner truck west on the outside lane of the freeway before the crash.
 
At the same time, Amirjanian was driving another Freightliner truck east on the highway behind a 2021 Volvo truck. A 2019 Ford ambulance with a passenger was traveling west behind a 2008 Audi. While the Audi was passing Espinoza, Espinoza veered to the left and pushed the Audi. Espinoza then traveled across the center median and hit the Volvo truck. Some of the vehicles caught on fire in the incident.
 
As a result, Espinoza and Amirjanian suffered grave injuries and died in the wreck.
 
Crews airlifted the driver of the passenger vehicle to Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo and rushed another to the hospital by ambulance.
 
The driver of the Volvo truck was not hurt.
 
As of now, the officers are investigating the crash. In addition, no other details are available.
