19-Year-Old Esteban Munoz Diaz Struck and Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver in Weld County

 
WELD COUNTY, CO (April 26, 2024) – The Weld County Coroner’s Office identified 19-year-old Esteban Munoz Diaz of Thornton who died in a hit-and-run on Weld County Road 87 on March 31.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash happened near Weld County Road 4shortly after 1:00 AM. Based on a report, a vehicle struck Diaz in the lanes and left the scene.
 
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries in the incident. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
Troopers did not release other information about the vehicle or its driver.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
