Teen Dies after Aurora Stolen Vehicle Crash on 225 Freeway

 
AURORA, CO (April 3, 2024) — A 15-year-old girl died in a stolen car crash on 225 Freeway on Saturday, March 30.
 
According to the Aurora Police Department, the accident took place on 225 Freeway at Alameda Avenue at around 7:30 a.m.
 
Aurora Police said the impact of the incident ejected five teenagers thrown from a stolen car during the solo-vehicle rollover crash. Paramedics brought four of them to a hospital.
 
One of the four passengers, a 15-year-old girl, succumbed to her injuries and died, the Aurora Police Department said in an update at around 5:40 p.m.
 
Paramedics checked and released the fifth teenager to a guardian at the scene.
 
Authorities closed the northbound 225 Freeway at Alameda Avenue for more than four hours during the clean-up and investigation. They reopened the highway at around noon.
 
APS said officers continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
