Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Highway 7 in Spanaway

 
SPANAWAY, WA (October 19, 2023) – Officers confirmed that one person died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 7 on October 10.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at 8th Avenue around 7:45 PM. Based on a report, the pedestrian was crossing a highway outside of a crosswalk at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a car heading south on Highway 7 struck him.
 
As a result, the 40-year-old male pedestrian suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. Officials did not release his name, pending kin notification.
 
The driver of the car stopped and cooperated with troopers.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
