Motorcycle Rider Involved in Accident on East Windmill Lane in Las Vegas

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (October 19, 2023) – Las Vegas Metropolitan police confirmed that a 19-year-old man suffered critical injuries in a motorcycle accident on East Windmill Lane on October 12.
 
According to the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Giles Street shortly before 2:30 PM. Based on a report, a 2017 KTM dirt bike was traveling eastbound on Windmill Lane in the right travel lane at a high rate of speed while performing a wheelie.
 
At that point, a Chevrolet truck that was driving westbound on Windmill Lane entered the two-way center turn lane. The truck then made a left turn onto Giles Street. The crash occurred when the truck entered the path of travel of the dirt bike. Police stated that the bike then overturned, ejecting the man to the roadway.
 
As a result, the male motorcyclist was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
