Ricardo Garcia Fatally Injured in Car Accident on 67th Avenue and Thomas Road
PHOENIX, AZ (October 12, 2023) — A man identified as Ricardo Garcia died in a car crash on 67th Avenue on Friday, September 29.
According to Phoenix police officers, the accident took place on 67th Avenue and Thomas Road at around 9:30 p.m.
When officers arrived at the area, they found Garcia with critical injuries trapped in his overturned SUV. Phoenix Fire arrived and then extracted him from his vehicle. They also pronounced him dead at the scene.
Investigators later learned that Garcia made a left turn into a private drive from Thomas Road. Then a second vehicle traveling west on Thomas Road allegedly struck his vehicle.
The woman driving the second vehicle remained at the scene. She did not show any signs of intoxication, police stated.
Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
