Bibiana Mendoza Identified in Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash on 69th Avenue at Thomas Road in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (October 6, 2023) – The Phoenix Department identified 20-year-old Bibiana Vicante Mendoza who died in a multi-vehicle crash on 69th Avenue on October 3.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Thomas Road around 6:15 PM. Based on a report, Mendoza was a passenger in a vehicle that was headed eastbound along Thomas Road prior to the incident.
 
Due to unknown reasons, that vehicle crashed into a car that was making an eastbound turn onto the road. Then, another car that was also headed eastbound collided into the car that Mendoza was in, causing it to rollover.
 
As a result, Mendoza suffered grave injuries and died at the hospital.
 
Crews took all three drivers to the hospital with minor injuries.
 
Speed appeared to be a factor in the crash.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
