Olivia Crain Seriously Injured, Ezekiel Lopez Distained in Head-on DUI Accident in Vista

 
VISTA, CA (July 27, 2023) — A pregnant woman, Olivia Crain, lost her unborn son after a head-on crash with a DUI driver on Saturday, July 22.
 
According to reports, Taylor Crain and his family drove a Mazda 6 on West Taylor Street near East Vista Way, on the way to a baptism party.
 
Olivia, who was 7 months pregnant at the time, was in the back sitting next to their 2-year-old daughter in a car seat.
 
The crash happened when an oncoming Nissan Sentra suddenly veered toward the Mazda. As a result, the vehicles crashed head-on.
 
According to Taylor, his wife suffered serious injuries. Olivia’s uterus sustained severe damage and their baby son, Luke, is believed to have died in the womb.
 
Crain’s loved ones organized a GoFundMe campaign to help their family with memorial and medical expenses.
 
Deputies arrested the Nissan driver, 31-year-old Ezekiel Lopez. He faces several DUI-related charges, murder, prior DUI, and driving under a suspended license.
 
Lopez pleaded not guilty to the charges.
