Woman Killed in Pedestrian Crash on West Lake Mead Boulevard near H Street

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (July 21, 2023) — A woman died after a pedestrian accident on West Lake Mead Boulevard on Saturday, July 8.
 
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the crash happened on West Lake Mead Boulevard at H Street at around 1:35 a.m.
 
LVMPD said a grey Jeep Grand Cherokee moved east on Lake Mead Boulevard approaching the intersection. At the same time, a woman walked south across West Lake Mead Boulevard outside of the crosswalk.
 
The front of the Jeep hit the pedestrian. The collision threw her to the east and onto the roadway. Emergency responders rushed the pedestrian to UMC’s Trauma Unit for treatment.
 
Medical personnel pronounced the 55-year-old Las Vegas woman dead.
 
The driver of the Jeep stayed at the scene and did not show signs of intoxication.
 
The LVMPD Collision Investigation Section handles the ongoing investigation of the crash.
 
The accident marks the 69th traffic-related fatality under the LVMPD jurisdiction this 2023.
