Loeb Boathouse Wedding: An Elegant Affair

As a leading NYC Wedding photographer, we have had the privilege of capturing some of the city’s most beautiful weddings. However, few venues hold the magic of the Loeb Boathouse in Central Park. That’s why we were thrilled when Kate and Nate chose this iconic location for their special day of tying the knot. We knew how beautiful photos will come out! Oh, by the way, if you’re a fun of Netflix  Kaleidoscope, look for Nate in the show The show is insanely popular in the United States!

Which type of photography did the couple want to capture their big day?

Kate & Nate’s wedding was captured using a combination of traditional wedding photography and candid/photojournalistic style. The traditional photography captured the formal portraits and posed shots, while the candid style captured the natural, spontaneous moments throughout their big day.

We had high anticipation levels, working alongside the talented Cindy Altunis from Cindy Altunis Events, we knew that this wedding was going to be one for the books. Cindy’s exceptional planning skills and attention to detail made every aspect of the day flawless, and we were honored to document it all.

From Kate, the bride

“I wore a Pnina Tornai gown. When I bought it from Kleinfeld’s, Pnina, the bridal vogue queen, was there as it was a trunk show, so I thought it was meant to be! We removed some additional lining from the bottom and about a week or so before the wedding, I added the bow I got from Etsy for $12. I also loved my gloves!

Nate and I met while we were juniors at Pace University. We were both resident advisors and met during an orientation retreat. We’ve been together ever since and got married on the exact date of our first date – 10 years later!

Nate and I are both into classic styles, which is why we went for the old school, classic New York theme. The Boathouse provided a perfect backdrop for the wedding with its iconic NY Central Park location.

Since we got engaged during the pandemic, we had a lot of free time to plan the wedding. We planned the majority of the wedding, but hired our fantastic planner, Cindy Altunis, https://cindyaltunis.com/ who helped in the months leading up to the wedding on the big day! She was fantastic and made the day so special.”

The Pre-Wedding Photo Shoot in Manhattan

Our day with Kate and Nate began with a pre-wedding photo shoot around the city. We started with an emotional first look at the New York Public Library on 5th avenue, near Grand Central Station, capturing the couple’s raw emotion and love. From there, we moved on to the Bethesda Terrace in Central Park, where we took advantage of the stunning surroundings for some breathtaking photos. Using our photojournalistic approach we also created a bunch of images for the couple’s social media along the way. Some would say it is not what professional photographer does, but to us serving our couples is exactly that, being professional. It also helps a lot to have more of these moments when there’s no videographer in the mix.

The Loeb Boathouse provided the perfect backdrop for a final session, and we were able to capture the venue’s rustic charm and unparalleled beauty. The images we captured during this session were some of our favorites from the day, and we knew that they would be treasured by the couple for years to come.

The Ceremony

The ceremony took place inside the Loeb Boathouse, where Cindy’s exquisite attention to detail was on full display. Elegant accents, coupled with awe-inspiring floral arrangements, created a romantic atmosphere that was both intimate and sophisticated.

After the heartwarming first look at the New York Public Library and the magical moments captured at Bethesda Terrace in Central Park which is so popular for wedding photos and elopements, it was time for Kate and Nate’s wedding ceremony at the Loeb Boathouse. The venue itself exuded rustic charm and unparalleled beauty, providing the perfect backdrop for this special occasion on a day full of the visits to iconic landmarks.

Inside the Loeb Boathouse, Cindy’s keen eye for detail and impeccable taste were evident. Every element, from the elegant accents to the awe-inspiring floral arrangements, contributed to the creation of a romantic atmosphere. The room felt intimate yet sophisticated, setting the stage for what was sure to be a truly unforgettable ceremony.

As the doors swung open, all eyes turned to the bride. Kate looked absolutely stunning in her gown, a vision of elegance and grace. She walked down the aisle with confidence, her smile radiant and filled with joy. Nate, waiting at the altar in his bespoke suit, couldn’t take his eyes off her.

The couple’s heartfelt vows echoed throughout the room, their love filling the air and touching the hearts of everyone present. It was a moment of pure magic, as Kate and Nate promised to love and cherish each other for a lifetime.

The bride looked stunning in her gown, and the groom was equally dashing in his bespoke suit. As the couple exchanged their heartfelt vows, their love radiated throughout the room, inspiring all present to bear witness to this captivating moment in time.

The Reception in The Loeb Boathouse Wedding venue

After the ceremony, guests were ushered to the reception area of the event space for the special celebration, where Cindy’s captivating decor continued to enchant. Table settings were adorned with candles and delicate floral arrangements, imparting a warm and a great way of inviting the ambiance.

The sumptuous cuisine and premium drinks served during the reception complemented the enthralling live band that serenaded guests all night. The dance floor proved to be a popular spot, and the couple’s first dance was an emotional and unforgettable moment that left all guests spellbound.
