Is Coventry a Nice Place To Live?

From the data collected from Confused.com , it shows that Coventry was voted the 2nd safest postcode in the UK making it statistically one of the safest cities in the country.

This statistic is based on information gathered from around 32 different metrics. The number of policemen in the region, crime rates per 1,000 people, the number of CCTV cameras, and the safety of citizens are among these features.

Coventry reported one of the lowest numbers for the number of crimes committed with 28,000 across the year. Coventry also only reported around 380 CCTV cameras in the city according to Coventry’s council which makes it one of the lowest for a city in the UK.

Coventry does however record high levels of burglaries. Reporting over 7.8 burglaries for every 1000 people which is higher than the national average

Coventry does try to combat the increase in crime by deploying over 6405 police officers around the city. This is one of the highest in the country.

According to crimerate,  Coventry reported high numbers for violence and sexual behaviour with over 145,000 crimes. This is extremely high considering Coventry’s population is only 350,000 so around 1/3 of people have committed violence and sexual behaviour acts in Coventry.
