However, the apology came after many days of dismissal of the idea of Web Summit this year by technology companies and investors. Web Summit was originally scheduled to take place from 13 November to 16 November.

After Cosgrave’s comment, various big tech giants like the spokesperson of Google told Bloomberg that the former would not attend the conference. Google is also one of the event partners.
