He also known as Walter Benton Garrison was a professional football player hailing from America. For the Dallas Cowboys, he was a fullback in the NFL or National Football League. Moreover, for the Oklahoma State Cowboys, he played college football as well.

He was born in Denton, Texas. Garrison was an amazing baseball, basketball, and footballer at Lewisville High School. He was a member of the Oklahoma State Athletics Hall of Honor and the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame as well. Walt Garrison was also named at the Texas Sports Hall of Fame, the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame, and the Dallas Cowboys’ 25th anniversary team.

He completed as a rodeo cowboy and won the Super Bowl with the Dallas Cowboys as well. In Dallas, he played for nine years and retired in 1974. In franchise history, he received the tag of No. 4 receiver and No. 3 rusher.

He lists 4th in the list of Dallas’ all-time list with 4.32 yards and 9th with 3,491 rushing yards. Garrison ran for 65 yards and then for 74 yards in the Super Bowl and finally won from Miami at 24-3.

After running for 784 yards and making the Pro Bowl in 1972, he added 390 yards and seven touchdowns as well. However, unfortunately, in 1975 he tore up his knee while steer wrestling and was forced to retire at the age of 30.
