Noida– In the latest development, the RapidX train soon will connect Ghaziabad and Noida. Based on the order given by Rakesh Kumar Singh, GDA Vice President, Manvendra Singh, Acting Chief Engineer has now started to make a revised DPR. The proposed Metro will run from Sahibabad to Sector-62 station on the RapidX train.

Manvendra Singh, Acting Chief Engineer stated that the metro usually runs from Sector-62 to Sahibabad station on a rapid train. With this, commuters travelling from both cities will get a huge relief from traffic. Once the metro train is operational, it will ensure better connectivity between the two cities. Also, people travelling to Meerut, Delhi will be able to reach their desired destination in Noida in a few minutes with the help of RapidX. The decision has been to solve the problem of traffic and time for the public. Based on the current DPR prepared, the metro project till Vasundhara Cut is said to incur a cost of Rs 1517 crore. 

GDA also plans to connect Sector-62 of Noida with Sahibadad station through the RapidX train. So, now the next DPR will be made with minor changes in it. Additionally, a few changes have also been made to the location of Vasundhara Metro Station. There will be around 5 metro stations from Sahibabad to Noida Sector-62 in the desired Rapid X train.  Earlier, for lobbying Keshav Prasad Maurya, Deputy Chief Minister conducted a meeting with Nitin Ramesh Gokarn, Additional Chief Secretary Housing along with concerned officials to discuss the metro routes. He asked for a metro proposal from the Ghaziabad authority. Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation is also working for funding for the metro development in the other cities of Uttar Pradesh. With this public that has to travel between the two cities will get huge relief from the traffic.
