Compass + Agape

On the other side, a tattoo of a compass was directed toward the Adelaide Oval. It was the venue for his Test debut for his team. It also includes the date of his marriage along with the day he was baptized. It has the word- “Agape” which means unconditional love.

The meaning behind his tattoo has never been shared by him or by any other news outlets. However, with time his fans have decoded the meaning of one of his tattoos.

‘Fazal’ in Urdu

Faf Du Plessis has inked “Fazal” in Urdu over his left rib. It translates to “grace” and someone who believes in God. The cricketer has dedicated a lot of changes in his life to God. 

Education

Faf Du Plessis initially decided to pursue a degree in sports science but when he reached the university to apply, he noticed a long queue and made the last decision to focus solely on sports. 

Personal Life

In 2013, he married his long-time girlfriend Imari Visser at Keine Zalze. The couple is blessed with two daughters one born in 2017 and the other born in 2020. He has one sister Rhemi who married to Hardus Viljoen a South African international cricketer in 2019. Du Plessis follows Christianity,  du Plessis has said, “I know that my purpose is about more than the runs I score on the cricket field. I hope to be able to spend time with people to show them the love of Jesus and see His love shine through them as well.”
