How to make Christmas Tree Pizzas

Made using a sweet Potato base, these pizzas also offer a host of nutritional benefits! This versatile little super food is a great source of fibre, Vitamins C and E, potassium, and more. You can learn more about the benefits of sweet potato and how to serve it to your little one over on our blog.

What you’ll need:

Sweet potato base:

  • 400g sweet potato (mashed)
  • 1 egg
  • 130g arrowroot flour
  • 100g rice or almond flour
  • 1 tsp basil & oregano
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp vinegar

Pizza toppings:

  • Shredded cheese
  • Tomato sauce base
  • Your choice of toppings

How to make your Christmas Tree Pizzas:

Preheat your oven to 200 degrees celsius.

Into a bowl of mashed sweet potato, add the egg, arrowroot flour, rice/almond flour, basil, oregano, olive oil and vinegar. Mix the ingredients into a dough, and then knead it well.

Once your dough is ready, separate it into small sections, flattening each section to make your pizza bases. Using either a cookie cutter or a knife, cut your bases into the shape of small Christmas trees.

Bake your sweet potato pizza bases at 200 degrees celsius for 10-15 minutes.

Once cooled, you can start to build your pizzas!

Spread your tomato sauce evenly over each base, then sprinkle with your preferred cheese (we recommend mozzarella or cheddar). Then, you can add your favourite toppings; pepperoni, olives, chicken, mushrooms, or even pineapple!

With the toppings on, your pizzas need to go back in the oven at 200 degrees celsius until the cheese is nice and melted on top.

Serve and enjoy!
