DCI issues Further Directions for uploading Details of BDS Students on the DCI Website

The Dental Council of India (DCI) has directed all dental institutions to upload the details of students admitted in BDS Course at their Dental Colleges for the academic session 2023-24. This notice was issued on 18th October, 2023.

The details of the students must be uploaded on DCI Website using the new login credentials for admissions. The DCI has already allotted these credentials to the dental institutions.

It may be recalled that the DCI, on 13th October, 2023, had revised the online counseling schedule for Round-4 & Stray Vacancy Round of BDS & B.Sc. Nursing for the academic year 2023. In this revised schedule it was also stated that the last date for admission to BDS and B.Sc. Nursing Courses was 31st October, 2023for the academic year 2023.

Hence, the present notice also reiterates that the dental colleges must upload the details of the students on or before 31st October, 2023, midnight. If any colleges claim admissions after this period they shall be subject to legal action and it shall be presumed that such students have not been admitted in the BDS Course of the concerned college.

Moreover, the dental institutions are instructed not to wait until the cut-off date to upload the details of all the students, and to do so in a gradual manner.

Additionally, colleges are also strictly warned to upload the details of only the genuine and bonafide admissions of their college. The onus of furnishing true, correct and authentic information is upon the college concerned and in case of furnishing any wrong / incorrect information, it shall be open to DCI to initiate action against / penalize the college. Only the uploaded details of students on DCI portal will be forwarded to the State Dental Councils / Tribunals for registration of BDS degree.

It is also pertinent to note that the DCI will only accept the details of students who are uploaded on the DCI portal, details sent through other means, such as email or hard copy, will not be considered.

Institutions are also informed that there will be no extension of time for uploading student details. Additionally, no excuses or reasons related to technical faults will be entertained.
