Inclusion of Head of Accounts for E-receipts for Disaster Management Department through GRIPS of IFMS Portal

The Government of West Bengal has issued a memorandum for the inclusion of the head of accounts for Disaster Management for online and offline receipts in its Government Receipt Portal System. This Memorandum was issued on 16th October, 2023.

The head of accounts will be included through all participating banks and payment gateways of e-SBI. The  Accounts to be added are as follows:

  • capital outlay on public works,
  • other buildings,
  • constructions,
  • deduct recoveries on capital account and
  • deduct recoveries.

The Government Receipt Portal System is a portal of the Finance Department of the West Bengal Government where all the online payment of Commercial Tax Transactions are made. GRIPS software will allow the Accounting Heads and other related information that has been either selected or required to be entered by the Depositor. The depositor will have the option of making payment for multiple Accounting Heads such as VAT, CST, WBST, Entry Tax etc. through a single transaction.  

After successful payment and after transfer of information from the bank’s portal to GRIPS portal, GRIPS shall also generate a receipted e-Challan. The Taxpayers/Depositors have to visit the website of the Directorate of Commercial Taxes, West Bengal where there will be a link for GRIPS Portal under e-Payment.
