Students studying at the International Institute of Film and Fine Arts are taught to be cost-efficient in their respective departments in order to benefit the medium that is cinema. Cost efficiency is very important in any field of occupation. People who are well aware of cutting the costs and do that well enough sustain a good hold in any profession. In cinema, as it is a highly expensive medium when it comes to mainstream industry standards, cost efficiency becomes more important. The producer invests in a project expecting profit, relies mostly on the director of the film. The directors hold the responsibility of making the film a hit and thereby pleasing the producer. Numerous factors are there those are to be concerned upon for the success of a film but as because the director is the captain of the ship as he is called so, becomes liable to protect the asset. If he fails to do so and the film proves to be a flop one then he might as a consequence loss the faith of the producer who would never again take the risk of working with him again. This can even worsen if both the director and the producer are new or are on their first project. It could even get both of them demotivated in continuing to be in the same profession in their future. However, nowadays there is a provision of taking numerous takes either needed or not due to the boon of digitalization. This independence of taking numerous takes as the directors like may sound like a plus point but due to the same, shooting shift timings may be consumed with less productivity thus resulting in loss of money. This is an important factor that all directors should be concerned about. No producer wants to make loss be it in the case of a short film or a feature film. The cost-efficient film is what every director should have an eye on. To be such a good director who can create a good film that too with cost efficiency is tough. People have to learn the film medium well enough in order to become that efficient as a director. With that, experience in work is what helps a professional to become better day by day. So the matter of fact is that you need to learn the medium well enough and to do so a good institution is necessary.
