Hi guys, this is officially my first post here on the Diary, hope you love it. I’m gonna take you through a series of amazing posts on fashion and a bit more, so buckle up. It’s gonna be a fun ride. Let’s do this! This series is titled the Students’ Fashion Guide 101 would be a guide (sorta anyway) to dressing on a student budget and still look fly.
We kick it off with the ‘Garb Epistles’ where I give you a few hacks on how to look just distinctively fabulous.
PENCIL SKIRTS (below the knee)
I’ve been known to say a girl needs at least four pencil skirts in her wardrobe and trust me it is so true. A Pencil Skirt is the statement piece that screams ‘lady man!’ I am a lady. The super duper cool thing about them is that you’re all covered up, yet sexy at the same time shape defining.
The pencil skirt paired with a peplum or collared shirt gives off a corporate vibe which is suitable for lectures, or with a t-shirt or top paired with a sandal to give that casual-not trying too hard look or even with heels and a sexy top for that special date or dinner with the gals. Whatever it is, the pencil skirt speaks volumes on your style and trust me, it’s very affordable too.
BLACK JEANS
Yhup! The black jeans can be greatly underrated sometimes, and it would be a stupid mistake on your part if you do. The black jean is non-selective and totally serves any purpose. Yes, it’s an absolute life saver.
My friend one time, wore her black jeans four days in a row, but still looked fresh and really nice each time, btw those of us that knew gave her serious yabbing sha but others were oblivious to the fact. Don’t judge yet, some of you do worse. The morale of this story is that gurrl, you need to get yourself a pair. Whatever kind, be it skinnies, bell-shaped, ripped or nah, black jeans always, always save the day.
THE BLACK SHEER TOP
Nothing says understated hotness like the black sheer top, it could be loose or clingy and still scream hot mama! It also gives off the chic vibe when worn right, all the celebrities and our crème of Instagram agree with this. Seyi Shay, Tiwa Savage to Tostos of insta fame and even the Kardashian girlies have the sheer top as their all time go to for the right sexy chic vibe. Take my advice, run to a good clothing store now, yes now, and get a sheer top.
