Fast Food in Madrid
If you are looking for a quick bite to eat there are a number of great places to go to in Madrid.
- Burgers/ traditional American Fast food
You can find place like McDonalds in the city just like in America, but there are a few differences between a Spanish McDonalds and an American one. For example, there isn’t really a Spanish equivalent to the Dollar Menu which is unfortunate, but the food in Spanish restaurants is much better quality. The burgers and chicken are juicy and taste fresh.
- Chicken
Spain also has KFC. I personally have yet to go there, but I have heard that, it is better than the American version of the restaurant. Spain also has its own fast food restaurants that serve chicken and I have heard that they have very good food.
- Asian
One of the most common Spanish fast food restaurants you will see is Wok to Walk. They serve a number of inexpensive Asian dishes that you can take with you when walking through the city.
- Sandwiches
My favorite Spanish fast food restaurant that I have been to is Pans. Pans serves a lot of different foods, but mostly sandwiches. One that I love had fried chicken, cheese, some kind of sauce, onions, and peppers. It was delicious and a very good size for a meal, but if you want to stick to something more familiar, there is always Subway.
- Mexican
A few locations for Taco Bell have recently opened in the city. The food is much better quality than their American counterpart and is a little more authentic. You can’t go in and buy a cheese loaded beef burrito, but they still have other delicious dishes. On some days you can get a beer and a taco for €1 which makes it a great place to get dinner before going out. Spain also has its own version of Taco Bell called Tako-Away. They offer cheap Mexican food to their customers.
Despite the culture of sitting down and taking your time with food in Spain, you can still grab a quick meal at any of these places scattered around the city.e
