Toni Braxton has been in and out of the hospital in serious condition due her battle with lupus, a chronic autoimmune disease in which the body's immune system becomes hyperactive and attacks normal, healthy tissue. This results in symptoms such as inflammation, swelling, and damage to joints, skin, kidneys, blood, the heart, and lungs. TMZ reports.
The songstress has publicly been battling the disease since 2010 and has earlier been hospitalized due to complications from it.
It was revealed yesterday that she has been in a hospital in Atlanta for four days and it is not
confirmed if she went by herself or brought in an ambulance It was also reported that her rapper boyfriend, Birdman made quick return from Texas to be by her side.
We do wish her, a quick recovery.
Meanwhile, Toni’s rep has given an update on her condition and it states
“Toni is home from the hospital and resting up!
"She is fine… she has been released and starts rehearsals for her upcoming tour this week."
The rep also seriously emphasized that Toni Braxton was never in serious condition during her four-day admission in the hospital, explaining further "She was not in serious condition, though lupus is a serious disease and must be monitored at all times."
Her sister, Towanda Braxton, also took to Twitter to tell fans about her sister's current condition, writing:
