Weekly Roundup: Interesting Odds & Ends

Here’s a selection of items that caught my eye last week. Some of the pieces worked well on my clients and followed them home. A range of price points, colours, dress codes and vibes are represented, so take your pick.

  • Ted Baker London Faux Fur Stole: Modern Retro and chic under an ink blue coat.
  • Frye Sabrina Double Buckle: Casual boots with a sleek silhouette. Comfy and lovely in the brown. Do not cover up the buckles by wearing full-length pants or jeans. Cute with chunky socks and casual dresses too.
  • Nordstrom At Home Cuddle Up Faux Fur Pouch: An extra furry wardrobe pet.
  • Anthropologie Lacework Shell: A lace top that's fab for layering under a jacket with jeans or black pants. Very pretty colour.
  • Topshop 'Maximum Fringe' Loafer Boot (Women): Comfortable booties that look a lot more maximal on the foot, so consider yourself warned. Good on a variety of foot shapes. Rich colour.
  • Sole Society Jemma Genuine Calf Hair Clutch: A roomy statement clutch.
  • J.Crew Italian cashmere long-sleeve T-shirt: I LOVE J.Crew's cashmere tees, and have two already - in fiery sunset and melon. They are my version of a long sleeved T-shirt because they are dressier. They're quite sleek, and look hip with the rolled edge detailing on the hems. It feels soooo good to wear something a little more tailored on the torso for a change. Great to layer under necklaces and jackets too. An excellent colour vehicle and wardrobe essential for Winter. I want at least two more colours.
  • Jeffrey Campbell Hornsby Loafer (Women): A comfy, hard-edged, boyish loafer with bling. Works on high volume feet. Cute with striped socks and cropped jeans or pants.
  • Rebecca Minkoff Velvet Choker with Imitation Pearl Charm: An affordable choker for romantic Goths.
  • Kenneth Jay Lane Five Row Pearl Jet Necklace: A brilliant pile of pearls to wear against a simple black backdrop. MAXIMAL. I want these.
  • J.Crew Double-breasted coat in oxford check: A maximal coat to remix with all sorts of solids and patterns. A straight cut with a slim sleeve.
  • KENDALL + KYLIE KENDALL + KYLIE Women's Logan Ankle Bootie: Excellent booties for low volume feet and narrow ankles. The cylindrical heel is unique and mangeable. I have these in cream and can't rave enough about them. I added a cushioning insole for extra comfort. Might make your feet look extra long if you're concerned about that. Available in black and pewter.
  • J.Crew Lucite link necklace: Wear this lucite necklace with a grey, light blue or violet sweater. Different!
  • Treasure&Bond Studded Leather Belt: Simple, casual and versatile.
  • Tasha Crystal & Feather Stretch Belt: Define your waist with this darling and party the night away. Wear a matching feathered fascinator if you dare. FESTIVE.
  • J.Crew Velvet blazer: Pink Velvet Blazer Yumminess. Looks boyish on the body despite the colour, so consider yourself warned if that's not your thing. All the colours are nice except the black.
  • J.Crew Gayle tie-neck sweater: Twee bow tie fabness to wear with black cropped straights or flares and black dressy loafers. Cute with a black pencil skirt too. Comes in grey.
  • J.Crew Pleated ponte dress: I haven't seen this frock in person yet, but it's J.Crew's bestseller for good reason. Take a chance if you like the vibe because Winter dress silhouettes made of substantial fabrics are rare. Comes in three colours.
  • Topshop Mercury Block Heel Bootie (Women): A super soft and comfy rose gold bootie that works on a variety of feet. Good on narrow ankles. The leather is delicate so not good in dodgy weather.
  • Club Monaco Daylina Coat: A coat for Team Tall with broad shoulders. Beautifully cut, well made, warm, and excellent side entry pockets. This coat will overwhelm you if you are short or slight in frame.
  • Ted Baker London 'Callah' Bow Detail Crewneck Sweater: A great pullover to wear with a fit-and-flare or pencil skirt. Comes in black. Runs small.
  • Club Monaco Holiday Crystal Drop Earrings: Chic ear bling. Dress them up, or wear them with jeans and dressy shoes.
  • Club Monaco Ahorin Lace Top: Layer this lace gem over a black camisole with trendy black bottoms and you're on your way to creating a killer outfit.
  • Club Monaco Sohrab Long Coat: A very good coat for a pear-shaped body type. Rich, well made and unique in the blue. Also available in olive.
  • J.Crew Collection Italian cashmere-mohair turtleneck sweater: Cozy Citron Oversized Fabness. Make sure you can layer this under your outerwear. Might run a size big.
  • Ted Baker London 'Ariya' Embellished Crewneck Sweater: A great pullover to wear with a fit-and-flare skirt. Runs a size small.
  • Boden Marisa Dress: A sleek Modern Retro SLEEVED sheath with plenty of length. LOVE the back collar and zipper detailing. I like the animal print best, but you might like the teal or burgundy. Runs a size small.
  • RACHEL COMEY Dunn Loafers: A trendy loafer pump with fringe and cylindrical heel. Moderately comfy, and elegant on the foot.
  • Chloé 'Lauren' Scalloped Suede Pump (Women): If you're going to splurge on a pretty pair of gold pumps with a manageable heel height, consider these. A classic with a high longevity factor. The shade of metallic is gorgeous, and the scallops do not dig into your skin. Best on low and regular volume feet. Stunning quality. Read the rave reviews.
  • Chelsea28 Floral Satin Bomber Jacket: Sporty Luxe Embroidered Fabness.
  • Banana Republic Pom Pom Sweater Crew: A pullover with pom poms is fun and unique. The self-colour detailing makes the vibe maximal in a subtle way. Great in cream, grey and blue. The cream followed me home. Fabulous with chunky white pearls.
  • Vince Camuto Parle Over the Knee Corset Boot (Women): A super fit on a narrower calf. Comfy and rich in the dark shade of chocolate. Too tall for petites. It's not a full zipper so consider yourself warned.
  • COS Fine-knit cropped jumper: A lovely silhouette for a pencil skirt or culottes. Nice for the office or a holiday setting. Runs big.
  • COS Flared knit jumper: Trapeze Fabness. Good with a pencil skirt, culottes, or cropped flares. Not good on a large bust. Very voluminous and runs big.
  • COS Ribbon knit top: Sleek and chic. Best on a long neck. Good with all sorts of trouser and jeans silhouettes. Runs big.
  • 10 Inch Crop Straight Jeans: A great pair of sleek cropped straights in a darker wash. Works both on a straighter and curvier body type. High in the rise, but very comfy. Does not stretch out. The wash is uneven and spotty, which is deliberate, so you have to be at peace with that. I added these to my jeans capsule this season.

You can see the items alongside my descriptions on the collection page.
