we all want to sleep like this baby right?

I remember when I met and fell in love with the sitcom friends, I binge watched about 5 seasons in three nights and did not get up to 2 hours Sleep a night.

I was a sleep derived zombie for those three days. It was utterly horrible.

We all know that everyone should sleep well and that’s why you are here searching tips for a better sleep.

According to work awesome, sleep is like a vacation day- you can never have enough of it. Even on vacations, you might not even get enough sleep unless at night.

Most times, we all just get a few hours of sleep each night. We don’t feel the effects at once, but with continuous sleep deprivation, we begin to notice a difference: A fall in energy, work performance and if you ask zombie me – lose the will to live.

People with a tight tight schedule always see sleep as a luxury- but its not. Its a necessity. For complete productivity and for 100℅ efficiency, you need up to 8 hours sleep every night.
The question now is not just having 8 hours sleep daily but having a deep/comfortable one.

Another bad habit we all indulge in is skipping sleep and trying to make up for it during weekends. Sleep is not another activity or chore to add to your weekend schedule. Saving sleep until the weekend is neither healthy or good for you. Instead, try to sleep better everyday.

Generally, there are few changes and tips for a better sleep that you can try:

    1. Try meditation: Some individuals practice the act of meditation every morning. Meditating at night is also a good way of relieving stress after a long day. Have you ever tried concentrating and being alone with your thoughts- it takes self discipline and tremendous amount of control to quite your mind.

Contrary to popular belief, meditation is not affiliated with any particular religion—it’s simply a practice of quieting your mind and reconnecting with yourself.-Work Awesome.

    2. Exercise: Doing a bit of work-out helps boost your energy levels. And when its time to sleep, you would find it much more easier. Another bonus of exercising is that it keeps you fit and the risk of sleep related ailment are reduced drastically.

    3. Listening to relaxing music can help activate sleep-mode. I enjoy classical music such as Mozart or Bach, it helps put in the right mood. You just find your jam to put switch on sleep mode.

    4. Avoid caffeine or drinking before bed. Eating too much food you feel like a balloon or taking so much caffeine that you get a buzz, would definitely give you a hard time sleeping.

    5. Take a bath or sleep in a tub. Nothing is more relaxing that a cool bath a soak in the bath. It relieves sore muscles and washes away the stress of the day. You can either do this every night or making it an occasional splurge.

    6. Avoid watching Tv before sleep especially when it involves disturbing images. This can make you restless and cause bad dreams thereby affecting your sleep.
The same goes for a movie with an interesting plot, it can keep you awake for hours at a time.
